How do archaeologists take artefacts, soil samples, sites and landscapes, and turn them into stories about our past? Our Introduction to Archaeology course, run by Heritage Lincolnshire staff Lydia Hendry and Alex Rowbottom, will reveal the methods and technique of modern-day archaeologists and take you through the process from first discovering a site, to excavation, to scientific analysis. No previous knowledge is required and please be aware that the third session is a fieldwork session and will involve moving around sites.
This course starts on 5th March 2020 and continues on 12th, 19th (fieldwork session) & 26th March 2020 (1pm - 5pm each day) (POSTPONED - New date to be confirmed)
