Dragon Egg Hunt at Bolingbroke Castle
8 April 2018 at 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
A Magical Day for the Whole Family
Calling all budding knights and princesses! Join Heritage Lincolnshire on 8th April 2018 at Bolingbroke Castle where (if the dragon's not around) we're going to be hunting for lost dragon eggs! Between 11am and 4pm you'll also have the opportunity to explore the ruin’s nooks, crannies and hidey-holes along with talks on the castle, and lots of enchanted crafts.
Come in your best medieval costume and join in the Fancy Dress Competition at 2pm for your chance to win a prize for the best dressed.
There will be a fascinating temporary exhibition on the life and impact of Henry IV at St Peter and St Paul's Church, researched and curated by the Friends of Bolingbroke Castle. In addition the Friends will be celebrating the day with refreshments, stalls and a quirky craft fair at the village hall, as well as a fantastic Dog Show in the village. Who will win the much-coveted prize for the waggiest tail?
Taking part in the Dragon Egg Hunt activity costs £2 and includes a prize.
Dogs on short-leads are welcome on site.
There are no facilities at the castle, however the nearby village hall is open for refreshments and has toilet facilities available.
