Food History & Historical Cookery
Throughout this course you will examine cookery books as a unique form of literature, handle and discuss kitchen items from the past that represent cookery practices no longer in common use, explore herbs, spices, recipes, material culture, antiquarian cookbooks and humours, take a fascinating look at the food and drink innovators of Georgian Britain, look at food of the British Army during WW1 and on the Homefront through demonstrations, talks and discussions.
To be eligible for this course you must be available for both sessions; this course starts on 24th March 2020 and continues on 31st March 2020. (10am - 4pm each day)

This lifelong learning course is part of the Grow programme organised by the Lincolnshire County Council Community Learning service. We aim to attract new learners and courses are open to all aged 19 and over on 31 August 2019.
