Food through the Ages

A 2 session course...12 hrs (10am - 4pm each day) for £36, concessions available.
Join Sadie Hirst, Food Historian and Columnist, on this interesting two day course; learn about food history and take part in some historical cookery. Over the two sessions Sadie will explore cookery books as a unique form of literature, cover food history from Neolithic times to the Elizabethan period, discuss Christmas Food, Feasting and Customs from the Past and also take a look at the food of World War 1. During the course there is opportunity to make Medieval Maslin Bread, Medieval Gingerbread and a wartime dish, all of which you will be able to take home and cook.
To be eligible to take part, you'll need to be able to join us on both sessions of this 2 session course, which will take place on 6th & 7th December 2018.
Tea, coffee & biscuits will be provided.

This lifelong learning course is part of the Grow programme organised by the Lincolnshire County Council Community Learning service. We aim to attract new learners and courses are open to all aged 19 and over on 31 August 2018.
