Half Term Fun and Ghoulish Goings on at Temple Bruer
27 October 2018 at 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
As the sun sets on the old tower, a hairy spider creeps out of her hidey-hole, looking for fun and maybe a big, juicy fly for her midnight snack. The building is very old and has lots of secrets and stories to tell, and she wants visitors to help her discover them all. She already has eight legs, but perhaps you could give her a hand?
Heritage Lincolnshire is happy to announce the return of its annual Halloween Event at Temple Bruer Knights Preceptary Tower on Saturday 27th October.
Suitable for ghouls and goblins of all ages, join our team and explore the old tower. Discover the secrets of the symbols carved into the walls, and decide for yourself if the legend of the headless tower ghost is true.
Come dressed up for Halloween and have a go at the spooky spotters trail*, make themed badges and have a go at creepy crafts.
If you’ve already done your trick or treating, then you can also burn off some of that excess energy! Join us for two guided walks around the area, making the most of the autumn landscape. The legendary ‘Viking Pete’ will lead you across the local terrain in two 5+ mile walks as part of the annual South Lincolnshire Walking Festival.
*Halloween Spotters trail charged at £2 per family. Admission, craft activities and walks are free of charge with any donations to the charity appreciated. The tower will be open from 11am-4pm. The first walk leaves from the tower at 10am, the second leaves from the tower at 2pm.
