HODs – The Wesleys – The First Social Justice Warriors?

Learn all about the Wesley family who lived at Epworth Old Rectory and how under their direction the Methodist faith reformed and shaped the religious and social landscape in Georgian society both locally and nationally. Come along and visit Epworth Old Rectory, an impressive Queen Anne Grade I listed house. Built in 1709 the Old Rectory is among the earliest of classically influenced architecture in the area. Learn all about the Wesley family who lived at Epworth Old Rectory and how under their direction the Methodist faith reformed and shaped the religious and social landscape in Georgian society both locally and nationally.

Time: Sat 10th 11:00 – 15.00.  Tours available throughout the day. Visitors may be asked to wait if we are busy. We are limited to numbers of 50 in the house and 250 in the gardens at one time. Uneven floors and steps into many of the rooms. No disabled access on the 1st and 2nd floors.
