19 April at 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

We will look at how the pottery from an archaeological site can give us fascinating evidence of daily life and trade as well as clues about the social status and religious beliefs of the inhabitants. This course will look at how, when and where pottery was used and produced in this region, from the Early Saxon period to the age of the Tudors. We will see how pottery was produced and traded and look at the changing styles and technologies used throughout this long period.
