Ladies of Magna Carta

Join us, online, to discover more about famous Lincolnshire Women who influenced the Magna Carta, as we celebrate Women’s History Month throughout March. Listen to Sharon Connolly, best-selling author, as she takes us on an investigation into the role of women in the Magna Carta of 1215.

Notes on the speaker:
A member of the Royal Historical Society, Sharon Bennett Connolly has so far published three bestselling non-fiction books, including her latest, Ladies of Magna Carta; Women of Influence in Thirteenth century England. Sharon is also the author of Heroines of the Medieval World and Silk and the Sword: The Women of the Norman Conquest. Her fourth book, Defenders of the Norman Crown: Rise and Fall of the Warenne Earls of Surrey, is due out in the spring.
She writes the popular history blog, www.historytheinterestingbits.com.
Sharon regularly gives talks on women’s history; she is a feature writer for All About History magazine and her TV work includes Australian Television’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’
