‘Make a Belt’ Leathermaking Session

October 26 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join us, IN PERSON, at our newly brought-back-to-life venue, The Old King’s Head in Kirton.

You will make your own leather belt from traditionally tanned cow hide. You will learn to cut leather, use various decoration techniques including stamping and dye, fit a buckle with stitch or rivet and make a keeper. There’s a choice of belt widths and buckles to choose from, and you can decorate as you please and choose from a selection of colours to dye your belt.

The session will be run by local craftsman Laurence White who produces handcrafted bespoke items using leather and other traditional materials utilising traditional techniques wherever possible. Taking inspiration from various periods of history as a basis of his work.

Members £25 / Non-members £30. Tickets can be bought from our shop (under short courses) and if this isn’t the first time you’ve paid more why don’t you become a member and start saving?
