Women in Medieval Lincoln
May 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
When people think of women in medieval Lincoln, they tend to think of Nichola de la Haye and Katherine Swynford, two of the most famous ladies associated with the castle and cathedral. In this talk, Prof. Louise Wilkinson draws on the research for her book, Women in Thirteenth-Century Lincolnshire (Woodbridge, 2007, paperback 2015), to look at the remarkable lives and stories of the ordinary women who lived and worked in Lincoln in the century before the Black Death.
