We are excited to announce the Big Dig at the Old King’s Head in Kirton!
Get involved with the archaeological excavation at the Old King's Head as part of our ongoing restoration works. The opportunity to dig in such a central and long-lived site is rare. We expect plenty of artefacts will be found relating to the building’s use as a pub, but the archaeology deeper down will be more of a surprise. You can take part in geophysical survey prior to excavation, digging and finds processing.
