Invitation to Tender – Conservation Architect for the Restoration & Conversion of Bourne Town Hall
Heritage Lincolnshire, acting on behalf of the Bourne Town Hall Trust, are seeking to commission a Conservation Accredited Architect to deliver services through RIBA Stages 1-3 for the Refurbishment & Conversion of Bourne Town Hall.
The Project:
The Grade II Listed town hall is in need of repairs, restoration and updating to bring it back to life as a vibrant community and performance space that celebrates the arts in all forms and the buildings rich heritage, serving the residents of Bourne and visitors to the area.
The project aims to create a community arts centre at the Old Town Hall in Bourne. The Grade II listed building, which formally housed the court room for Bourne upstairs, the covered ‘shambles’ market and local fire station downstairs, will become a vibrant community space open to all that celebrates the arts: serving and entertaining the people of Bourne, and visitors to the region.
Bourne Town Hall Trust has made every effort with limited resources to keep the building in a good condition. It has now reached a time where significant investments are required to restore the buildings and bring it back into use, with the aim of securing its long-term future.
Scope of Work:
The Conservation Accredited Architect will be required to develop the project through RIBA Stages 1-3. This will include obtaining the relevant statutory approvals. The architects will be responsible for procuring any other specialist consultants required to form the professional design team.

Tender Start – 4th May 2023
Submission Deadline – 15th June 2023
Deadline for questions – 8th June 2023
Contract duration – Completion of RIBA Stages 1-3
