As part of our services to schools our experienced education staff can provide free advice on any aspect of local history and archaeology.
With site studies back at Key Stage 3 and a study of the historic environment now compulsory at GCSE we can help you choose a project that will inspire your pupils.
We maintain an archive with historical information on every parish in Lincolnshire as well as an extensive local history library, map series, and a large handling collection of artefacts, all of which we can make available for your project.
At Heritage Lincolnshire we're passionate about the county's history and our expert staff are available to visit schools to support local history studies. For a donation we can provide training for students in researching sources, how to read historic buildings, and run practical activities like graveyard surveys, artefact studies, or visits to our historic sites. Our education & outreach officer also offers more advanced versions of all of our visits to schools that are designed for students at Key Stage 3.
As experts on Lincolnshire's history and archaeology we always enjoy helping with student projects, so get in touch if you'd like help setting a challenging question or want to research one of our sites or building preservation projects.
