Project Co-ordinator for the repair and conversion of The Old King’s Head, Kirton, Lincolnshire

The Old King’s Head, Kirton, is probably the oldest secular building in the area. With a history dating back to 1599 as a Tudor inn, this Grade II building at risk has a rich history with many interesting stories to tell.  Heritage Lincolnshire, an experienced Building Preservation Trust, has recently acquired the building and received a first round Heritage Enterprise pass from the Heritage Lottery Fund with development funding to bring the building back into use as a café with accommodation and provide local jobs, trainee opportunities and boost local tourism.

As Project Co-ordinator you will work with Heritage Lincolnshire, the professional team, project partners and stakeholders to deliver the development stage work and submission of a second stage application for a grant of £2m from the Heritage Lottery Fund.  During the development stage there will be a full investigation of the historic building and a community consultation programme.

This is a fixed 12 month freelance contract of £25,000 (excluding vat) for the Project Co-ordinator, with the potential for the role to be extended in the delivery stage if funding is successful.

Any suitably experienced individual or company interested in fulfilling this role can request the full brief by emailing htladmin@heritagelincolnshire.org or calling 01529 461499.  Expressions of interest should be sent by  13th April 2016 at the latest and the deadline for receipt of completed applications  is 12.00 noon on 22nd April 2016.
