All Hail Queen Victoria

When Victoria came to the throne, the monarchy was in crisis and few could imagine that a teenager girl could save it. Nearly 64 years later, the death of Queen Victoria sent the nation and the world into mourning. Victoria’s marriage to Prince Albert and their nine children gave her the chance to reinvent the image of the monarchy as a happy family on the throne. The royal couple then married their children and grandchildren into royal families through the world so that at the end of her life, Victoria was known as the Queen of Europe.
