Description

According to the Imperial War Museum the town of Grantham has something of its history not possessed by other towns of comparable size, namely a pictorial diary of its life throughout of the Second World War. This is entirely due to a local business man, Walter Lee, whose business was photography; he kept a meticulous diary of the war and its effects on the town. Local historians from the town have since benefited from his foresight and those wonderful photographs are now available to the public in a way never before achieved.
