Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a pilot with the world’s top aerobatic display team? We will look at the introduction and development of formation and display flying, then focus on the selection and training of the pilots of the Red Arrows, followed by details of an unplanned incident in the air.

Notes on the Speaker:

Colin has spent over thirty years in industry, specialising in Materials Management, Procurement and Production Control. Following a series of redundancies Colin became a self-employed Illustrator / Artist, covering most subjects in a variety of styles from cartoon, to formal, and in a choice of media from pencil, pen & ink, or painted in either watercolour or acrylics.  He has also managed to combine his artistic talent with his love of aviation. He has contributed to a number of aviation & other publications and had numerous live broadcasts with BBC Radio Solent.
