‘Royal Visits to Lincoln’

From Constantine the Great to King Charles III. Richard II lent his father’s state sword (we still have it), James I came horse racing and the Duke of York “footed it in merry dance” at the Drill Hall. From one of the country’s most important cities of early Medieval England to Tudor decline and resurgence in the industrial revolution, Lincoln’s Royal visits weave a thread through the history of the City.
