There’s a new king on the throne and royal fever in the air! But what about the men and women who came before? Join us for a series on the Remarkable Royals and see the path from Charles II to Charles III.

The Windsors and the Future of the Monarchy

Originally a member of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, George V decided the British royals having a German name was a problem during World War I, and the House of Windsor was born. Windsor royals have survived numerous family scandals, from divorce to adultery to abdication, but the family has carried on. Last year Britain rejoiced as HM Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Platinum Jubilee as the longest-reigning British monarch in history, and then was plunged into mourning as the Queen passed away in September. The country celebrated the coronation of King Charles III this May as the Windsors continue into the 21st century.
