The Clue

Walking down the passage you’ll see warehouse buildings associated with Sharpes International Seeds, which is believed to trace its roots back to 1560. Clover Warehouse has decorative black metal plates on it called Patress Plates.

The Question

What shape are they?

Hint

The walk will not take you to the warehouse building itself, but you will be able to spot it from the footpath.

 

Look at the black discs closely. You will see they have a decorative shape on them.

The Answer

The plates have a sort of star shape with six arms sticking out of a central point. Sharpes International Seeds was one of the major employers of people in the town, supplying quality seed products internationally.
