Heritage Lincolnshire a local charity working to conserve the rich history of the County for the benefit of people who live and work in the area.

We work to advance our understanding and appreciation of archaeology, historic buildings, traditions and culture and work with a wide range of partners. As an active Buildings Preservation Trust we have experience of securing funding for the conservation of historic buildings at risk.

We also offer a range of opportunities for education, volunteering, and leisure activities, all of which encourage people to explore the heritage of the area and to become actively involved in its conservation.

Sad news of the passing of Lord Cormack

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the unexpected death of our President, and cherished friend, Lord Patrick Cormack on Sunday 25th February. Lord Cormack's passing marks a  great loss for Heritage Lincolnshire and for our staff and supporters who had the privilege of knowing him.

Heritage Lincolnshire Chair, Charles Pinchbeck said: Lord Cormack was a dedicated champion of the heritage of Greater Lincolnshire. He was not only a man of remarkable stewardship, leadership, and support but also genuine kindness and warmth. Our organisation and indeed the county’s wider heritage have been enormously fortunate to have benefited from his passion and dedication.

In this time of grief, we extend our deepest sympathies to Lord Cormack's family, particularly to Lady Mary Cormack, and to all who will feel his absence. He will be very greatly missed, and his legacy will forever be the reminder of the difference one individual's dedication can make.
