Walk-about in Aslackby with the Square Hole club

On 14th June 2018, Bev and Jim from our Layers of History Project met with Kate Marshall, members of the Square Hole Club and history enthusiasts in Aslackby and enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the village which is one of the project's study sites.

The Square Hole Club is a gathering of Dementia Support South Lincolnshire's members with early onset dementia, or members in the early stages of the illness. The club offers an everyday environment that enables them to engage in ‘normal’ activities, contribute to what happens, and be supported appropriately, while their carer takes a much needed break to have some reviving ‘me-time’.
