North East Lincolnshire Heritage Network: developing capacity for the sector

Heritage Lincolnshire is working in partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council to build a strong, diverse and vibrant heritage network for the region.  Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the first meeting took place in April 2021 and now has a membership of over 60 participants from a wide variety of heritage, arts and other cultural backgrounds.  Meetings take place on a bimonthly basis and will continue with Heritage Lincolnshire’s involvement until Spring 2023.

If you would like to join please email natalie.lunt@heritagelincolnshire.org

Alongside helping to develop and support a wide-ranging agenda for the network, Heritage Lincolnshire was also working with the council on helping to manage Heritage Starter grants for new heritage projects and ideas that needed a little more support to develop.

The project was launched in August 2021, and the scheme was open to applications until April 2022.

Anyone with a project idea about North East Lincolnshire heritage was encouraged to put forward their suggestions; and they did not have to be part of the network (although we did ask that they work collaboratively with another partner).  Project ideas were then reviewed by a panel (who were from the local area and/or members of the network) once a month.

This project was made possible thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
