HOD – Aslackby Voices Through Time’s Pulsating Ebb and Flow.

September 15 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

Part of the Lincolnshire HODs Festival 2024

‘Five ethereal figures sit in church to tell the stories of five extraordinary lives which began in Aslackby and went on to span the world. They include a member of John Smith’s expedition in to the New World 1606, and a highwayman hanged in York, gibbetted at the scene of his crime for 36 years, and who became the subject of folk song and fable. Amongst the many interesting names inscribed amongst the historic graffiti in the porch and tower is that of the highwayman. Will you be able to find him!
