Researching C17th & C18th Lincolnshire – sources for local history

Join us, online with John Manterfield as we celebrate ‘Local & Community History Month’.

This talk looks at possible research scenarios in terms of specific communities, particular buildings and family history in the period before Civil Registration and before Census Returns.  It explores the wide range of sources that are available for Lincolnshire  both within and outside of the county looking at both the opportunities available as well as some of the obstacles frequently encountered.

The presentation delves into sources including maps and surveys, estate records and title deeds. The talk concludes with case studies that trace the history of a mill, an inn and a bookseller.

Tickets: Members £5 / Non-members £7
