Join us at the North East Lincolnshire Heritage Network Celebration

Join us at Centre4 in Grimsby on Tuesday 7th March to celebrate two years of the North East Lincolnshire Heritage Network.

Since April 2021, Heritage Lincolnshire has been working in partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council, with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, to build a strong, diverse, and vibrant heritage network for the region.

Alongside helping to develop and support a wide-ranging agenda for the network, Heritage Lincolnshire has also been working with the council on helping to manage Heritage Starter grants for new heritage projects within the National Lottery Fund Area of Focus.

Throughout this process, 18 organisations have been supported with Heritage Starter Funding to drive grassroots projects reflecting North East Lincolnshire’s history and origins, organisations, maritime roots, local industry, traditions, heritage buildings and places, local legends, people and their stories and natural heritage.

Three recipients of funding via this programme have since applied for National Lottery Heritage Funding, bringing in approximately £600,000 to North East Lincolnshire enabling Grim Falfest to launch, supporting Grimsby Town FC’s heritage project and establishing Hammond House’s Heritage TV channel.

The event on 7th March will celebrate these achievements, with members from the National Lottery Heritage Fund Committee for the North in attendance, as well as representatives from North East Lincolnshire Council and Heritage Lincolnshire.

The event will open at 2pm with refreshments, networking, and chance to explore the range of Heritage Starter project displays. Presentations will commence at 3pm, followed by afternoon tea.

If you would like to attend this event to find out more about the North East Lincolnshire Heritage Network, please contact Natalie.lunt@heritagelincolnshire.org by Monday 20th February to reserve your place.
