Heritage Lincolnshire and the Friends of Bolingbroke Castle are delighted to invite you to our annual Dragon-Egg Hunt at Bolingbroke Castle. Join us on 22nd May 2022 at Bolingbroke Castle where (if the dragon’s not around) we’ll be hunting for lost dragon eggs! Part of the Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival, visitors can explore the ruin’s nooks, crannies and hidey-holes seeking out the golden eggs
Families are encouraged to come in their best medieval costumes and join in the Fancy Dress Competition at 12pm for the chance to win a chocolatey prize for the best dressed, and you can enter your family into the village riddle challenge at 1.30pm, where families will have to work together to solve the riddle and be first to claim the prize.
We’ll also be hosting some extra-special guests; Sir Gadabout and his dragon Dora from the Hildreds Centre in Skegness. They will be around and about from 11am-2pm, meeting and greeting guests. We’re reassured that Dora will be fed a big meal that morning and will be well behaved for photos.
